Christmas in KY

Monday, December 28th, 2009

Well my mom, dad and I ventured to KY to spend Christmas with my sisters. It was wonderful as usual.

I never realized how warm KY until we actually made it back to Ohio though.

It was great to see all sisters, nieces, nephews and the family.

I was given some money to buy some new clothes by my sisters, it was very much needed and can’t wait to get some clothes that actually fit. My parents also gave me some money to put towards my new camera. I ended up getting the Canon Rebel XSi DSLR. It is pretty spiffy, and I love it.

Early Thanksgiving

Monday, November 23rd, 2009

Mom had been cooking for two days straight and after only a few hours, the pickins were slim.

The menu was extensive, including turkey, homemade meatballs, plentiful appetizers and snacky type foods including her famous cheese ball. Desserts galore including carrot cake, Boston cream pie, Oreo truffles and some peanut butter chocolate pie concoction.

It was a great visit from both of my sisters, and their children. They have all seemed to have gotten bigger since the last time I have seen them. Ah how time flies.

They are such a delight, especially little Jackson. We always have to pour over youtube for John Deere and train videos.

Here are a couple videos I made of Jackson, he is such a doll.

Well, I had a great weekend, I only wish that it could have lasted longer.

Have a good one!

A bit out of sync…

Monday, November 9th, 2009

Well normally I have a few blogs posts written ahead of time and have them ready to go at around 7 in the AM.

Not so was the case today. I have a tremendous weekend with someone very special.

I think I will use today’s blog post to promote the fact that sometimes you just need to stop what you are doing and find a friend to spend time with. They are amazing, and it is so helpful.

Have a great day.

Facebook is amazing!

Friday, November 6th, 2009

I never thought I would be saying this, but it truly is awesome.

Thanks to facebook I have been able to get in touch myself and had someone get in touch with me; both cases are people that I haven’t seen in 8 years or more.

I love it.

The one person was a neighbor and someone that I spent countless hours with, after they moved away, it was sad. But when I opened my email I saw her name requesting to be my friend. My jaw hit the floor. I added them as quickly as I could, and they were still on, so we chatted. As chance would have it, she moved back into the area.

Long story short, I am meeting up with her Saturday. I am ecstatic.

So hats off to facebook, its not just for Mafia Wars and Farmville, but it has helped me reconnect with some great friends.

Krispy Kreme King…

Saturday, October 31st, 2009

How nice would it be for you to walk up to a house on Halloween and instead of a snickers bar, you get 1 dozen Krispy Kreme doughnuts?

I didn’t even really need to ask did I?

It about be abso-frickenly amazing!

If you are in the right area in Utah, you will get that.

I know a guy through a forum that I frequent who has for the last couple of years ordered quite a few hundred dozen Krispy Kreme glazed doughnuts to pass out for Halloween.

This year he is going for 570 dozen.

5-7-0. For those counting at home that is 6,840 doughnuts. Or 1,368,000 calories.

Well I heard the truck arrived a little bit ago.

Unfortunately the driver sucks at driving and they only have 500 dozen, but they are running back to try and get 70 more before he passes them out. Edit: The extra 70 has made it~

I just thought I would share that with some of you!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN.
