Again…!?!?

Really? Come on...

I cannot believe I have lost….temporarily misplaced ANOTHER pair of sunglasses. I’m really glad I didn’t spend a couple hundred dollars on Oakleys or something. I think this makes the 6th pair of sunglasses in about a year and a half time span.

Ridiculous.

That makes about $88 in Wal-Mart sunglasses. The first three were Berkley fishing sunglasses, the fourth was some pair I bought online, the fifth was a pair of Foster Grant Iron Man’s from Wal-Mart, I just bought a similar pair at Wal-Mart today.

I am really not sure how I misplace these things, they are not overly small, but I guess they can just hide well or something.

I know if Derrick reads this, he will probably just shake his head. I really hope I find my old pair and keep a hold of this new pair, I really like them. Pictures of the new shades:

Aside from buying yet another pair of sunglasses, it was a good day out in the Corvette. She is all filled up with 93 octane and prepped for the trip to Kentucky on the 18th.

Well…another thing kind of irked me off a bit…Wal-Mart did not have my body wash. I am very partial to Old Spice products, and I like the Swagger smell and there was no Swagger Body Wash. I smelled all the other Old Spice scents and nothing came close. I settled for some Suave for men stuff. *sigh*

Well until next time folks,

Stress…

Thursday, December 10th, 2009

We all have it, some people handle it better than others, but is it something that we can control? I was driving to work the other day, and it popped in my head. I seem to have a lot of stress in my life, especially now and I was wondering if it was something that you could just…tune out.

I normally can handle a lot of things at once, and stress really isn’t a problem, but it has seemed to catch up on my lately. There are only a few things that I can do that actually makes me forget about any issues I seem to face and unfortunately I can’t spend all my time doing those things.
It’s a pretty lame blog post I know. I am trying to get back in the swing of things after not going at it for a while.

So, how do you make stress a bit more bearable in your everyday life? Any secrets, tips, or tricks?

WTHDTM?

Thursday, November 12th, 2009
Yeah, I'm confused too.

Yeah, I'm confused too.

Confused? Yeah, me too.

What the hell does that mean?

I must be falling behind quickly because I just simply cannot keep up with all the of the abbreviations.

It took me forever to figure out what TTT, RIF and few others meant.

Who comes up with this stuff? Are we coming to a point in which all of our conversations will be something like this:

Teenager 1: Yo
Teenager 2: Yo
Teenager 1: WU?
Teenager 2: NM U?
Teenager 1: N.
Teenager 2: K.
Teenager 1: WGOLO?
Teenager 2: NGWTD.
Teenager 1:D.

I doubt anyone can exactly figure out what was going on in that conversation, you might come close, but you will not figure out.

It just boggles my mind, there is basically no one that can correctly speak, spell and write the English language (my self included) but it is just getting worse and worse.

I’m afraid we will be reduced to the above very soon.

Why is that? As a culture are we just lazier than ever? I know we are always on the go go go, but seriously can we not dish out a full sentence?

Just one of my rants for the day, as always let everyone know how you feel.

Spam?

Tuesday, November 10th, 2009

Seriously…what is up with all the spam comments have I have been getting?

Okay well you guys haven’t actually seen it, but I am getting a ton of generated comments. At first they were for casinos now they are for airlines. I changed it to where comments will be held unless someone has already posted an approved one here, so that at least keeps them the public from seeing them.

Is there anything else I can do to stop this. They are all using different IPs every time and just jumbled up email addresses.

I am pretty new to Wordpress so any help is appreciated.

Some driving pet peeves…

Thursday, November 5th, 2009

I’ve been wanting to do this post for a while but it keeps getting pushed out of my mind. I should have started a draft and I would have remembered to write it, but I didn’t, so here it goes.

  1. Driving under the posted speed limit
-Unless you are a tractor or something that shouldn’t be going the posted speed…flippin’ do the speed limit.
  2. Left lane drivers.
-Holy cripes! Get out…only to pass, not to sit there on your iPuke with your Starbucks cruising at the speed limit. I didn’t stereotype there did I?
  3. Speeder uppers only to slower downer.
-Now I can be guilty of this sometimes, so I understand, but seriously…pick a speed. Either you at spot on, 5 over 10 over…whatever, quit changing just to change.
  4. People who leave their turn signal on.
-Seriously? How do you not hear that frickin’ thing clicking? It’s even worse when people with the turn signal indicator in the glass leave them on. I cannot for the life of me figure that out….
  5. People who “gun” it to pull out in front of you.
-Again I’ll admit to doing this…sometimes you are at that light or stop sign so long and you say -expletive- it! And go, but I think some people just do it to do it.
  6. This is an arm off #5, but those who pull out in front of you only to turn not to far down the road.
-Why would you do this? Just wait…the other driver is already coming at you fast, and then you slow down? God be with you if the guy slams into you, because if I was the judge, I would show no sympathy.
  7. Failure to secure your load
-Okay, I said “load” and all that, get your laughs out now. *Waits* Okay, good now? Just because you have a crap town of bungee cords and tie downs does not mean you know how to use them. I watched a fiberglass ladder fly out of truck and the driver of the Miata was really on the ball because he swerved in time.
  8. Yield
-You either have to or you don’t, but if you have that sign…DO IT! I shouldn’t have to merge over because you cannot follow directions. This is going out to the asshole on US 30.
  9. Headlights
-I think they should be mandatory at all times, not just when its raining. Mine are always on automatically, I just wish others would do this. Unless you drive a something that resembles a bright twinkie I guess you are exempt.
  10. Racers
-I’m not opposed to speeding, but I am to racing. While out in the Corvette I have a lot of -insert foreign winged, hoodscooped car here- and just other cars that pull up and just try to bait you in. I’ll admit, its hard not to put it to the floor, and I will admit I have done it a few times. Though my better part gets a hold of me and I know that is better left for the track.

That is about all I can think of now. How about you all share some of your driving pet peeves.
